Real Slide

Qe pasa! It’s slippery in Madrid and Real Madrid is taking part in the sliding.  Last year Madrid won the La Liga (Spanish top division title). It came as a surprise to many because Barcelona has been dominant over the years and also it has the best player in the globe, Leo Messi.  Real Madrid deserved to win last season because they figured out how to deal with Barcelona.
Real Madrid has some of the finest football players in the world just to name a few, Cristiano Ronaldo, Iker Casillas, Pepe, Mesut Ozil etc.  So far this season, it looks like these players’ names scare no one else but Barcelona.  In La Liga, Real Madrid stands in third place, sixteen points behind Barcelona. Terrible!! At the beginning of the season Real beat Barcelona and you would have assumed a number of things.
First you would have assumed Real would beat every single team in La Liga, but so far they have been disappointing. Second, you would have assumed that Cristiano Ronaldo would be having a more lackluster season than Messi, but that’s not happening.  So far Messi has been scoring goals making it look as if the goalkeepers need to be fired! Third, you would have assumed that the Special one would be cozy, sitting back and relaxing without worrying about his future in Spain, his agent better get busier. Last you would have assumed that La Liga is a Barcelona-Real Madrid affair only, but apparently Real Madrid can’t click hence La Liga is only a Barcelona territory.
Real Madrid might be sliding in the La Liga but cruising in the UEFA Champions League which is the trophy Madrid hasn’t won in a long time. Unless Barcelona loses at least four games, Real Madrid would have to forget about the domestic title and focus on the UEFA Champions League and the King’s Cup. Real might as well forego the domestic title because Barcelona is hot like a hell furnace.
This Real slide could work for Jose Mourinho, Real Madrid’s coach, and aid in proving for sure he’s the ‘special one’ whom every wealthy club wants to sign.  Basically the club has what it takes to turn things around and here is how. Beat Barcelona on both league games, get accustomed to winning and hope Barcelona loses to another team soon and ruin their momentum.  So far it’s a really slippery slide for Real Madrid and it can get worse and make La Liga ‘boring’ since Barcelona would be the only team to watch.

Been a while

For the first time in a long time and in many games, Arsenal has played with a big heart. Today against West Brom all players seem to be on a special mission, that is to play with urgency. Every player looked sharp from defense, midfield all the way to the attacking. Some few miscues made players a little agitated for instance Gibbs wasn't happy with Gervinho missing a few good chances. That shows the spirit of competitiveness as well as readiness to win!

If you watched the game you know that I am not just rooting for Arsenal, I am telling nothing but the truth. The two penalty kicks can back me up. They were fair and even West Brom knows. Hopefully Arsenal keeps up the great spirit, urgency, sharpness and eyes for the top prize.

The recent poor performance had kept me on mute but now I can speak proudly after watching them play with big heart today.  Hopefully I can stay non-mute for as long as the season lasts. All in all, great game today and as always I am still a proud gunner!
