The Only Choice

Hello fans! Heads up! Arsenal gets onto the field and delivers. You better take the results, since it's the only choice you have. You have to be smart to root for Arsenal FC. Learn to watch the games keenly and pick out the nicks that you can shut other rival fans with, for example: Man U, City, Tottenham and Chelsea are Arsenal 'A' team, Wenger is always calm for the future is bright, you've got trophies while Arsenal's got $$$$$...... and so on.

Lets not mention how the gunners have done in the last couple of games against big teams in the EPL. It's heartbreaking to talk about the sale of key players at their prime, unnecessary losses against Man U, Chelsea, and some other teams. Things seem to get worse with Arsenal FC as the season progress, Theo Walcot contract saga, game tomorrow against a tough Tottenham FC side. When will it get better for the Arsenal fans to say, "my team Arsenal is better than yours" As you know, fans love bragging rights on the awards won but not players developed, everyone develops players.

The crash against Tottenham is not different from the last key games against Man U and Chelsea. However, the gunners can bring the difference by standing out and playing with hunger and urgency for a victory! It won't be easy for Arsenal because of several reasons about Tottenham FC.

First the Hams have a lethal striker, Jermain Defoe. This is the guy once Arsenal showed interest in and I am not sure why they didn't get him. Defoe is a natural finisher, goals know him and are attracted to him. Can you imagine Carzola serving an experienced striker like Defoe with tremendous key passes? Second the Hams added two key players, the two former Fulham stars, the lethal Ds (Dembele and Dempsy). These two additions were a big boost to the Hams. Third the Hams have been tested already by powerhouses like Man U and Man City. Fourth, two former Arsenal stars now plays for the Hams and the two might try to prove Arsenal wrong for letting them go. All the above makes Tottenam well prepared for the unpredictable Gunners! Lastly, not to mention the Hams play quite physical and this might put Arsenal off!

Let me see if I can come up with factors leading to a victory for Arsenal FC tomorrow. First, good defenders like Varmaelen, Koscielny, Sagna and Gibbs. Second, improved Theo Walcott, hungry Giroud and highly rated Jack Wilshere. Third, strong fans who always stand with the team no matter what! Lastly, a manager who makes players' dreams of playing for the BIG teams come true. Arsene Wenger loves to see players grow both on and off the field. He loves them so much such that he lets them go whenever they want more money and trophies that Arsenal cares less about!! The factors mentioned above only becomes a success when Arsenal wants. Poor fans, just lose your sleep in the morning and hope it will be worthy it after 90+ mins!

Once again I will kick my blanket off me, turn on the TV and cheer Arsenal take on the Hams. May the best team win and hopefully Arsenal chooses to be that team! Besides Arsenal vs Tottenham derby another big game this weekend is Newcastle vs Swansea City.

Hey gunners fans, please embrace whatever Arsenal FC gives you! That's the only choice you have!!

Stamina

Despite injuries on some key players, Arsenal can still continue to win matches. This is because some of the players that used to be youngsters are now more experienced. Remember when we used to say Theo, Szecny, Jack and Ramsey will have a bright future? The future is here now! These players are well experienced and capable of steering Arsenal into greatness.

In the last few matches Arsenal has lacked sharpness and aggressiveness. It could have done better against Man U but concentration was low and Arsenal recorded two shots on goal. The two shots came at the end of the game in which one of them was the consolation goal. Had they been sharp, shot more and aggressive, the fans would be happier awaiting the match this weekend . Arsenal started really well against Schalke FC in the UEFA champions league but faded away as the game progressed. That's unlike Arsenal! However, it's a good feeling for the gunners' fans to know that Barcelona lost to Celtic while Man City tied and lies bottom in the group.

Fulham FC no doubts it's ready to play Arsenal at the Emirates. Arsenal has been good at home which would make the opponent readier.  At this moment it would be good to get a win against Fulham FC. Lately turmoil incidences have invaded Arsenal. First, Santos accepting RVP's jersey at halftime-Arsenal has put price tag on him. Second Jack called up by the England national coach, few days after returning from a long term injury. Third, Arsenal lies seventh on the league. Fans couldn't ask for more than three points this weekend.

Some other big games to watch this weekend: Chelsea FC vs Liverpool FC, Man City vs Tottenham, and Everton vs Sunderland. It would make Arsenal happier if they win and teams like Liverpool, Tottenham and Sunderland win too, but it has to start with Arsenal pounding Fulham FC at the emirates!

Arsenal needs to show STAMINA in defending, goalkeeping, and attacking. It takes goals to win a match so I hope Arsenal can shoot and not just posses the ball more than Fulham F.C. Possessing the ball and not shooting is like walking around in the market without spending a cent while holding a basket, money and shopping list in the pocket.

Last weekend I didnt sleep in so that I could support Arsenal crash Man U but the devil turned out to be too possessed. Hopefully this weekend it pays off to wake up and see Arsenal trample Fulham FC!

Lets go Gunners, Gun 'em down!!!

The Devils Prevailed

During the weekend I normally sleep in but today I didn't. I woke up early to support my favorite soccer club, Arsenal FC.  Man U beat nervous Arsenal by two goals to one. It was pathetic because Arsenal didnt show the urgency and sharpness. Also they lacked concentration.

Even though Man U won the game, they played less presentable but you can understand age is creeping in on their players. For example Carrick, Rio and RVP.  One Devil had a good day, Fergie! Today he didnt have walk much on the sideline because his club was getting the job done.

A few reasons why Arsenal lost. Some players were not quite ready to play. Podolski is a quality player but he didn't look comfortable at all. He made many errors and lost the ball quite often. He didn't take a single shot and if you ask Oxy, he would say Podolski has the best shots. Jack Wilshere is another player who seemed a little lost and eventually was sent off. He couldn't keep possession and seemed a little over confident or maybe call it indecisive with the ball. The Arsenal forward took two shots only in the entire game.  It might look effective because they scored one goal in 2 shots. "You don't score if you don't shoot." Shoot more for a higher chance of scoring more goals. Hopefully Arsenal will learn and create more shooting opportunities next game.

Here is quick enlightenment. Arsenal FC is a profit-oriented club, while Man U is a glory-oriented club.  Arsenal makes most profit by developing players and selling them at their prime. Man U develops players and uses them to win trophies before selling them in "out of order" state. In this case the Man U fans are WINNING over the Arsenal fans who keep waiting for the bright future yet to come.  Fans love it when a club lasts long, but they wouldn't mind some bragging rights on their club's glory.  As an Arsenal fan you know better not to argue about trophies with Man U and Chelsea fans.

"Every cloud has a silver lining." You can claim Arsenal has better things to come in the near future. It's not easy to settle down and fit in the premier league and you can tell players like Podolski, Giroud and Pete face surprises every weekend. I hope they settle down quickly because the clock is ticking and when it stops the season will be gone.

In today's clash Man U and its fans won but Arsenal and its fans were left mourning. No doubt Arsenal fans are wondering what it will take for things to turn around. Even though Arsenal has won 2 of their last 4 games, its players haven't really showed up to play.  In the EPL a club rarely survives on luck so Arsenal better burn the blankets and stop sleeping on the field.

I hate to admit Arsenal lost but its the truth of the matter.  Sometimes it's hard to take the truth especially if you are an Arsenal fan.  I failed to sleep in, Gunners lost, Man U and Chelsea fans all over me. Today can't get any worse! I will have to wait and see if Real Madrid will make my weekend as it plays against Zaragoza. Gotta stay positive and look for refuge somewhere else until next weekend, fresh EPL games!!!!

Bloody Duel

The rivalry between Arsenal and Manchester United has been going on since 1894 when these two teams first played against each other. Man U has won the most, 90 wins to Arsenal's 78, the two teams have tied 46 times.  Obviously the devils have the lead and they have prospered over the Gunners in the recent years.

The rivalry is renewed tomorrow as the two teams meet at Emirates Stadium, home for Arsenal FC. So far this season Man U is doing better than Arsenal with the help of a former gunner. Robin Van Persie left Arsenal in the summer for greener pastures at Man U. He has been key in Man U's past few wins. Basically, one can claim he was the "missing Devil"! He will be a big factor in the game tomorrow.

In the most recent 2 games against different opponents, Arsenal won both while Man U won one. Arsenal seems to have the edge after beating 10-man QPR and Reading FC. Arsenal had their best comeback this season in an inferior encounter against Reading FC. Quick recap on the amazing comeback, Arsenal came from 4 goals down, scored 3 more, and won the game 7 to 5 in extra time.

It took some questionable calls by the referee for Man U to beat Chelsea, last weekend. In the midweek Carling Cup match, Man U lost to Chelsea in extra time, however Man U played most of their reserve players unlike Chelsea who used most of the main team players.

In midweek Carling Cup matches, both Arsenal and Man U played their reserve players in preparation for the clash of the titans tomorrow. Earlier I mentioned Robin Van Persie being a major factor. However he might have a hard time playing against Arsenal at home. It will be weird for him and he might feel like in hell with the fans jeering at him. If R.V.P goes cold, Man U will either settle for a tie or a loss.

Arsenal needs this game more than Man U, because Arsenal is trailing Man U by six points.  The Devils would love the three points to lead #1 Chelsea.  A boost for Arsenal is improved performance by some key players. Theo Walcott scored a hat trick against Reading FC over the week and he can keep the fire burning tomorrow against Man U. Arguably, he's the fastest player in the premier league. Giroud had a good game against Reading FC and he is still on the verge of establishing his command in the premiership.  King Santi Carzola needs to have his best game ever in the midfield.  Arsenal's defense has a huge task of stopping Van Persie, former teammate last season.  Playing at home is a another big boost for Arsenal and actually the fans might kindly give Van Persie a hot hell at the Emirates Stadium.

My predictions would be for an Arsenal win but Man U is too good at the moment for an injury-plagued Arsenal, so I'm not placing my little money on them. Arsenal will win the game if they defend well while Man U can win it if Van Persie has a good game. Go GUNNERS! Who wants the devil anyways!?!

I know other teams in the EPL are playing but who cares when a battle like this ON!?! :) Don't hate me because next week I might analyze all the weekend games' results.

Only if you care about this, my friend's Eckerd College won against #4 Lynn University, NCAA III soccer.
