'Bout Time Gunners!

Two ties to begin the season! Not bad! Better than losing! A trip to Anfield this weekend on Sunday will officially mark the beginning of the season, no disrespect to Sunderland and Stoke City. The season is still young but everyone wants to know what Arsenal is made of and how ready the club is this season.

Arsenal has what it takes to perform great against big times. Great manager, quality young and experienced players and also awesome fans like me :) Liverpool will expose Arsenal, either show how hard they are to beat or easy to beat. It's a re-modeled Liverpool yearning for redemption after few years of poor performances.

I hope Arsenal has their guns cocked, warmed up and ready to fire hot bullets, because Liverpool and their crazy passionate fans ("YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE") will be ready for a show at Anfield. Vamos Gunners!!! I'm going on vacation and please Arsenal don't make me bend the rules for nothing, get some goals!! Gotta score to Win!  In conclusion, if Arsenal doesn't score a goal (s), Liverpool will win the game!

Proper Job Waiting!

1. Blog. Start a blog about something you are passionate about. It's fun, improves creativity, keeps you busy, improves writing and proof reading skills. It also helps enhance marketing and selling skills. The previous skills are acquired as you try to make many people see and read your blog.

My blog is 80% about soccer, precisely my favorite soccer club, Arsenal FC from London England.

2. Volunteer. Lend a hand in your areas of interest and passion. Following your passion makes it fun and easy to strive for excellence. It's good to give back to any community,"A child is raised by the village." Volunteering helps with networking and confidence interacting with people, helps make friends from strangers.

Soccer is my passion and over the summer I was privileged to coach two different young teams.

3. Working out.  Exercising is very key in mind and body strength. Creative workouts make exercising more interesting and you can learn new tactics and morals. Creative workouts also help break the monotony of frequenting the gym or fitness centers.

I would workout in the house, in the woods and backyard playground. Afterwards I would be tired enough to just replenish my body and apply for jobs.

4. Comedy. Nothing beats a laughter at the end of the day, especially a hard day. You can watch a hilarious movie, stand up comedians or just meet up with friends and have fun cracking jokes like nuts. It helps to relieve stress and covers up the fact that you badly need a good job to kick start into the future.  No matter what you're going through, nothing beats a big smile on the face. Laugh Out Loud without faking it.

Funny movies such as,Think Like A man..., Laugh at My life..., and stand ups got me going every evening. Just be Happy after hard work looking for a job.

5. Job Fairs. This is a golden opportunity for networking especially with the immediate employers of the potential companies.  Never let any free job fair pass you by, however never pay what you don't have for a job fair unless it's extremely worth it. The job fairs boost your confidence and you learn more about different companies. Learn what companies like about their employees so that you can give it right back at them when you apply for a job.  Learn how to sell yourself!

The job fairs are like a recipe before you get into the kitchen, so life gets easier.

6. Recreational activities. Sports are most fun while young, so don't let your youth get to waste. TV remotes and movies are helpful while tired especially in the evening, but not during the day when the sun is yearning for you get some tan. Text, tweet, facebook, instagram, or Tumblr your friends about playing ball or biking or kayaking or golfing or soccer or flag football, before the darkness sends the daytime away.

Live life and make the most of your youth as you prepare your body mentally and physically for that job.

7. Work. Get a part time/full time job either  in or outside your area of interest. This would help to keep your savings account healthy and make sure you have some money to spend on getting the job of your dreams. It costs money to get a job so be prepared.  You're not making much so spend wisely!!

8. PRAY. Nothing is guaranteed in this life so as you work hard, patiently waiting and highly hoping for a job, make sure you pray. Prayer is the key piece of the puzzle in finding the job of your dreams.

I have applied all the above and for sure I have been learning a lot about life not just jobs and different employers.  Suggest something else I can do and maybe you might help someone else who reads this blog. Asante!

EPL Sunday's main Action!

Arsenal did well against Sunderland but could have done better to get the 3 points. This weekend's game will be the same as the previous one against Sunderland. Playing Stoke City on their home field won't be easy for Arsenal to get all three points. After a decent showcase by the new trio-Carzola, Giroud and Podo-the level of confidence is high and Arsenal might strike the 3 points. Carzola was outstanding against Sunderland and don't expect less against Stoke City.

The main challenge against Stoke will be dealing with the tower-like players, for instance Peter Crouch. Arsenal will have to keep their game on the floor as much as possible because they lack height, which Stoke has in abundance. If Arsenal moves the ball well, the twelfth man (Stoke Spectators) will be subdued. I would put my money on Giroud and Gervinho scoring tomorrow.

The match against Stoke city will be a real sweat for either team to get the three points. Nothing will come on a silver platter for either team. Arsenal's bullets better be hot tomorrow because Stoke will be stoked for a stunner at Britannia Stadium. Most likely Arsenal will get a penalty kick tomorrow and Podo will put it a away! (fingers crossed)

I hope the fans in attendance will enjoy the Britannia biscuits, but unfortunately for one team the Britannia biscuits will be sour! Go Gunners!!

Arsenal done with Music

One of the key midfielders from last season is gone to one the best clubs in the world. In order to leave, all he said was that he wanted to leave. I don't know how much the Manager did to keep him. By the way I am talking about Alex Song leaving Arsenal for Barcelona, in case you are confused. I am confused too why Arsenal let him go, so probably this article may not make much sense.

Last season, the star from Cameroon was the cornerstone of Arsenal's midfield. With slick passes, humble footwork and great work ethic, he harmonized Arsenal's defence with the offence. He gets more credit for the assists that made Robin Van Persie 2011\2012 Golden Boot winner. In my mind (and I believe also other gunner fans) I never saw Song leaving Arsenal so soon. Barcelona must be lucky and ought to respect Arsenal big time! First it was Thierry Henry, next followed Fabregas and recently Song has taken his music to Camp Nou. Who else is Barcelona admiring at Arsenal?

Almost a decade ago Arsenal used to be a superpower in soccer, especially in England. Those days are gone and now Arsenal seems to be tired of being the best and instead selling their best players and making other clubs the best. First it was Barcelona, Man City dropped coins and did an overhaul on Arsenal (Nasri, Clichy and Kolo Toure), Man United couldn't just watch so they snatched one (RVP).

Arsenal is known for nurturing young talent and making superstars. Examples, Henry, Theo, Van Persie, Cesc ,Viera etc.  It's mind boggling when in most cases Arsenal doesn't leap much from some of its finest superstars. I might be wrong but it seems like Arsenal is on a mission to make and sell hence making other teams better than her. Oh well! Arsenal still qualifies for the Champions League and I guess that's enough for the club.  As a fan it's tough and rough to be an Arsenal fan, especially the last five years, but who said it's easy to be loyal?

Song is gone hence no more music at Arsenal until Arsenal buds another Song and keep him as long as he can sing and dance. Forever a Gunner!!

Gunners 4 Life!!

The EPL kicks off tomorrow so better take your vuvuzela out and blow it hard till you lose breath. My favorite team kicks off the season against a respectable Sunderland FC. I hope Arsenal does well and actually I am convinced will win due to several reasons.

Arsenal ended last season with a great momentum despite missing some key players due to injuries. Diaby wasn't healthy most of last season but now he's ready to go. Diaby could play a key role this season. Even though Van Persie is gone to them (Man Who), it shouldn't be a big deal because at the end of last season his performance was dwindling and the other players rose up to the occasion. Persie is a great player but his departure was anticipated and well covered with the introduction of Podolski, Giroud and Carzola. The trio could easily score as many goals as Van Persie and actually two of them have the potential to be EPL's top scorer.

Arsenal as team looks complete and I don't see why other teams shouldn't be shaken starting with Sunderland. Sunderland is a good side with both experience and skills so Arsenal should expect a really good fight. Besides the trio mentioned above, other potential scorers are Varmelene, Arteta, Ramsey and Gervinho. Song's got the midfield well covered. Arsenal better keep Song!! Barca better dream of someone else outside Arsenal.

Good luck Van Persie but I hope Arsenal tramples Man U every time they meet. Also, I hope Arsenal wins a silverware before Man U, especially this season. I am sure Arsenal has the magazines full, guns cocked and ready to rollover Sunderland!! Lets go GUNNERS!!!

Olypmics done, new fun arises!

Glory days of sheer efforts, sweaty hours, seconds and days for the Olympics athletes are gone, and now they can enjoy their achievements. However that's not the end of having fun for the fans! Guess what's starting next weekend? English Premier League!!!!!!!! Have you checked your team's jersey, new signings, schedule etc.

I have been following my favorite club, ARSENAL FC, and I am impressed with most their activities except rumor on A.Song moving out to Barca. I hope he stays home and keeps on making the rivals face the music courtesy of Arsenal Fc, choir master, Alex Song!

I will be blogging a ton about Arsenal this season so check my blog every now and then for futbol fun! Expect Arsenal wonders this year! It's gonna be a good year for Arsenal! Can you imagine, Podolski, Van Persie, Carzola, Walcott and Giroud, all scoring in the same game or interchangeably? Looking forward for a good year!

WENGER, PLEASE DO YOUR JOB EXCELLENTLY THIS YEAR!!! THANK YOU!

Shout out to Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Marseilles when your season begin!!

Olympics Hurricane!

At first it used to be just all about BOLT bolting on the tracks, then it started being about Non-Bolting Bolt because of Blake, but now we can talk about a budding bolt, bronze medalist in 200m, Warren Weir!! I wonder how often we can keep talking about the three of them in 200m in the recent future upcoming World meets!

When was the last time Jamaica had a sweep in the 200m Olympics? In the last few years it's been a one man hurricane, the ever-bolting Bolt! 2012 Olympics made it a tri-hurricane sweep orchestrated by Bolt, Blake and Weir!  This might be Bolt's last outstanding Olympics because he isn't getting any younger. However Jamaica can still keep the 100m and 200m crowns at home courtesy of Yohan Blake and Warren Weir!!

800m record was set in 2010 but shuttered into pieces by.10 secs by the same athlete, David Rudisha from Iten Kenya! It was the first world record to be set of the many track and field events in London 12! Prior to the Olympics, David Rudisha was determined to run till legs come off and set a new World record in London. During the 800m qualifiers, he showed the willingness to break his own record. Come the 800m finals, David was up and pounding the tracks hard until he set the new World Record, 1:40:91!! History was made in the eyes of the entire globe!! Way to go Rudisha!! In Swahili "rudisha" means return something to someone, so David did what he does best. He returned a brand new 800m World Record to Kenya! You might want to visit Kenya to see it. :)

Congrats to David Rudisha and I hope Bolt is challenged now to break and set a new World Record in the 4*100. Kenya still have chances of more gold medals in the few remaining short and long distance events!!

David Rudisha, World class Athlete.

The Secret?

Check out alleged reasons why Kenyans have been able to dominate long distance races for quite a long time! It's fun, interesting and captivating. I hope you remember some high school biological terms. Please remember to wish Kenyan athletes well in the Olympics!! http://www.nation.co.ke/Features/DN2/Why+Kenyan+athletes+are+world+beaters/-/957860/1473542/-/item/0/-/10h4bx7/-/index.html

Running Long!

Kenya is famously known for running like Gazelles in long distance races, both men and women. Guess what?! The rest of the world seems to have figured out what it takes to be a great long distance runner like the mighty Kenyans. It's about time Kenyan athletes start running harder and faster before the rest of the world takes over.
Kenya as a country provides what it takes to be a great long distance runner, something most countries lack. The youngsters back in Kenya need to start working harder to maintain the long distance running domination!! Hopefully Kenya rakes a few gold medals in the long distance running despite stiff competition from Ethiopia, Eritrea and a few "the ones that gotta away" in Europe, Middle East and Asia!

Good job by Mo Farah and Rupp but it was sad to see Kenya outside the medal margin! Come on Kenya! Run harder, faster, stronger and with authority in what you do BEST!!

I am an Athlete!!

Another Oly-gic!

Another Olympic magical shot in basketball happened!! Russia took down Brazil but I am not sure if they can stop the star-studded US. These kind of plays and other performances are making the Olympics more magical and showing the climax is here!!
