First Olympic 2012 Miracle?

Yes Miracles have started to happen in the Olympics. You might have seen a half court basket before, but probably not in the Olympics. Unfortunately the Aussies couldn't win the game after getting second chance with 3.3secs of regular time left.

Thanks Aussie for a wow moment and Kudos to the french ladies! I hope the french ladies brought some love with them from the city of love & lights, Paris. Future destination for me!

Here is the clip!! http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/basketball/higlights-miraculous-3-pointer-by-aussies.html

Super Fans take Sweaty hugs

Today the first lady, Michelle Obama hugged the entire US Men's Basketball team after their win against France. In most cases this kind of hugs are taken by ordinary people like your girl/boy friend, parents and teammates. You wouldn't expect the first lady to hug a sweaty athlete right after the game. But Michelle Obama did it! Myself would call it humbleness and selflessness. I don't know what you would call it!!

US Olympic teams have all the support they can get and it's up to them to embrace it and represent their country patriotically. When was the last time a Hollywood celeb gave you a hug despite sweat like you've been rained on?

Big ups to the first lady, Michelle Obama! Most people shake hands with sweaty athletes, but she acknowledged their hard work and went for a hug. Keep showing support and love.

Olympics and African Football

I had the pleasure of watching Senegal play in the Olympics against Uruguay, one of the power house in Latin America futbol. Senegal won the game by 2 to Zero. They played really well and even better, they won the game with 10-men. This team looks really young and it shows that Senegal has a bright future in football.

The Senegalese players looked really fit, comfortable with and confident on the ball. Kudos to their defense that was well composed and handled Suarez and Cavani, Uruguayan football stars, excellently. The Senegal defense took these two guys out of the game thus deserved to win. Bad sign for Liverpool (owns Suarez)!!

Senegal was even dancing on the ball, courtesy on Kanote who seems to have been watching too much Cristiano Ronaldo and Ronaldinho! Big ups to him on scoring 2 goals that gave Senegal the victory. After today's performance I would say Senegal is a force to reckon with. Their Goalkeeper was phenomenal too.

Watch out Brazil and Spain, because Senegal wants it as bad as you two do!

Keep enjoying the electric Olympics from swimming, basketball, Gym-nasties, FUTBOL and the list goes on.
Hezzy!

What has been your Olympic surprise so far?

Olympics2012

The Olympics hot already! Interesting too with quite a few doping cases and upsets. Just the beginning and very soon the big guns like Phelps will either rise or keep falling shot to the great upcoming stars like Lotche and company.

Some athletes have already bagged gold medals while others can't wait for their chances, for instance my brothers and sisters from Kenya. They are running long distance so they have to be patient to get to the finishing line. :)

I love how the I.O.C (International Olympic Committee) has acted to the racism claims, like the one by a beautiful blonde athlete from Greece. I mean it when I say beautiful, but her jokes are dirty and hopefully other wanna-be comedians can learn from her scenario.  Big ups to the I.O.C on kicking out some athletes who have used the performance enhancing drugs! If you can win clean, go home with your reputation tarnished!!

My predictions for the most medals are, USA, China and Russia with others like Spain or Brazil, and Kenya among the top ten. Spain and Brazil ranks in my top ten only if one them wins the Football tournament.  Kenya will run long and mid short with patience and diligence till the gold shines at the end of the race!!

Don't forget to watch Blake, Bolt and Gay competition. Isn't it this what the world awaits?

What's your prediction for the top 3 countries?

The Olympics Football 2012

This is a good opportunity for countries to show their future national teams. Spain & Brazil are some of the favorites to win it all! After analyzing Brazilian Olympic football team and watch them play too, you might think other teams have no chance at all. Spain, current Euro and World cup champs are expected to maybe dominate London with their sexy or boring, (depending on where you are from) style of play. Brazil the Samba boys will dance probably all the way to the finals while expect Spain to knock it around until you wonder why you didn't watch the game at home.

Spain despite the high expectations lost to Japan by a lone goal. Red card not an excuse at all because it came after the goal had been scored and Spain had enough time to come back, but in vain. It is not a good start but as a good team that everyone wants to beat, Spain ought to prepare for a rough ride onward. Whoever they play next, Spain better not drop points. Many teams are prepared for this tournament. In the history of the Olympics, the underdogs have been favored. Nigeria 08 runners up, Paraguay 08 runners up, Cameroon 00, Nigeria 96, Soviet Union 88, Czech 80 etc.

The 2012 Olympics is full of underdogs and the powerhouse teams are the minorities. Some of the underdogs that might cause upsets are, Morocco, Senegal, Switzerland, Japan and Korea. These underdogs are driven by the fact that there are less powerhouse teams and their chance to prosper is increased.  The few powerhouse teams in the tournament are Brazil, Spain and Egypt. Brazil won against Egypt but only the first half by capitalizing from defensive blunders by the Egyptian defenders. The Samba boys are great and might win the tournament, BUT didn't seem to handle pressure well hence Egypt scored the 2 goals and almost had more.

The Samba boys better dance carefully and more aggressive! The opponents are warm-blooded, young, aggressive and have nothing to lose against the Samba boys! By the way!, watch out for my brothers from Africa with protruding muscles, speedy, aggressiveness like a lioness and yearn for a bright future in football!

This is going to be an interesting and entertaining Olympic football! Don't blink!!

Whole New World

Summer is here and people are getting married like there is no tomorrow! I am surprised because of my Kenyan culture in which having finished college allows you to get a job and get settled before you think of getting married. Boys have to prepare to work hard after college and be ready to pay the dowry. Marriage is cool so long someone is sure they can handle life as someone's husband or wife.

Questions are there to ask when you see young people tying knots. What's the main motive for getting married? How prepared are they to be married? Are they relying on HOPE, that things will workout well or they are ready for a whole new life? It sucks to talk about the U.S divorce rate but it's too high to be ignored. I hope young people are getting married to last but not to learn a lesson. A sweet marriage only happens once!

I love getting introduced into a new culture, living in it, learning from it, and supplementing my Kenyan culture with it. Honestly, the new culture has enabled me to appreciate my culture even more. Sometimes you don't learn to appreciate what you have until you encounter something new.

I am for the marriage and one day when I'm ready and with God's timing, I will tie the knot! Hello my fellow youth! Please make sure you understand what LOVE really is before you get married. I hope many of us aren't rushing marriage to regret later. I am still studying LOVE and I will let her know when I am ready. Oh well, it's summer time and the weather is warm for weddings!

It's not that I am confused, but I am intrigued and flabbergasted!! For sure I am in a whole new world that I like and respect.

Footballer on 2 Wheels!

God is the source of all talents and gifts! I am lucky to have been playing soccer since age 5 and plans on playing till old age! Through soccer I have achieved a lot and my future looks bright because of it. Why not see someone else develop and change another person's life through soccer? For this to happen I need to work, work really hard and prayers will be highly appreciated.

Football is very big in Africa but without education, only very few can benefit from it. Therefore there is need to see football and education grow together simultaneously.  Soccer is overwhelmed by Basketball, football and Lacrosse here in the US. Each one of these countries, need soccer and education, and what if they worked together and each country gets whatever it needs. You may say US doesn't need soccer, but it does because not everyone in the country can play football, basketball or Lacrosse. Africa needs education for sure!

I am blessed with a bicycle and I have been using it to start my Soccer&Education4US&Kenya Project! As the US is learning soccer, many would go to school in Kenya. My bicycle has taken me to several offices  for meetings with motivating people. I am not sure how many more miles I need to ride for this project to become a success. Only God knows how this is gonna work out and my effort plus your contribution plays a big role. As long my bike stays "healthy" and the ball rolling, many will learn and satisfaction will be expressed.

Stay tuned in for more on this project on MY BLOG, TWITTER & FACEBOOK!

Do you have anything to say?

All about Spanish Football

Euro 2012 was very interesting! Few people thought Spain would retain the silverware. Some called Spain, new team, inexperienced, BORING??, and unpredictable. Spanish football proved to be exquisite and they are the King of football in the entire globe!! Casilla, Xavi and Iniesta as usual were pure geniuses while Jordi Alba was the new kid everyone was and left talking about. How about the legend, Fernardo Torres!! He neither needed lots of playing time nor many goals to win the golden boot. Spanish team was soooo good it made Torres look like a pure genius by doing less to earn gold! You might say teams like France, Dutch, Germany, Portugal and Italy have a bright future, but dont forget Spain still has Pique, De Gea, Cesc, Jordi Alba, Juan Mata and Villa, all whom seem to have what it takes to continue Spanish dominance in football.

I won't be surprised if Spain keeps on dominating the world football with their sexy style of playing which leaves the opponent lost like a minute grain in the sand. In every game, the Spaniards made the opponent look bad, ask Italy and France!! It will take quite a lot for someone to come up with a style of playing that beats the Spanish Sexy Style (Triple 'S')

I'm a passionate footballer, and Spanish football has proved that football requires more brain than muscles! Brain is for efficiency and toughness, while muscles are just for fierceness! Kudos Spain and keep the world talking about and loving your style of football ;)
