Olympics Hurricane!

At first it used to be just all about BOLT bolting on the tracks, then it started being about Non-Bolting Bolt because of Blake, but now we can talk about a budding bolt, bronze medalist in 200m, Warren Weir!! I wonder how often we can keep talking about the three of them in 200m in the recent future upcoming World meets!

When was the last time Jamaica had a sweep in the 200m Olympics? In the last few years it's been a one man hurricane, the ever-bolting Bolt! 2012 Olympics made it a tri-hurricane sweep orchestrated by Bolt, Blake and Weir!  This might be Bolt's last outstanding Olympics because he isn't getting any younger. However Jamaica can still keep the 100m and 200m crowns at home courtesy of Yohan Blake and Warren Weir!!

800m record was set in 2010 but shuttered into pieces by.10 secs by the same athlete, David Rudisha from Iten Kenya! It was the first world record to be set of the many track and field events in London 12! Prior to the Olympics, David Rudisha was determined to run till legs come off and set a new World record in London. During the 800m qualifiers, he showed the willingness to break his own record. Come the 800m finals, David was up and pounding the tracks hard until he set the new World Record, 1:40:91!! History was made in the eyes of the entire globe!! Way to go Rudisha!! In Swahili "rudisha" means return something to someone, so David did what he does best. He returned a brand new 800m World Record to Kenya! You might want to visit Kenya to see it. :)

Congrats to David Rudisha and I hope Bolt is challenged now to break and set a new World Record in the 4*100. Kenya still have chances of more gold medals in the few remaining short and long distance events!!
