Proper Job Waiting!

1. Blog. Start a blog about something you are passionate about. It's fun, improves creativity, keeps you busy, improves writing and proof reading skills. It also helps enhance marketing and selling skills. The previous skills are acquired as you try to make many people see and read your blog.

My blog is 80% about soccer, precisely my favorite soccer club, Arsenal FC from London England.

2. Volunteer. Lend a hand in your areas of interest and passion. Following your passion makes it fun and easy to strive for excellence. It's good to give back to any community,"A child is raised by the village." Volunteering helps with networking and confidence interacting with people, helps make friends from strangers.

Soccer is my passion and over the summer I was privileged to coach two different young teams.

3. Working out.  Exercising is very key in mind and body strength. Creative workouts make exercising more interesting and you can learn new tactics and morals. Creative workouts also help break the monotony of frequenting the gym or fitness centers.

I would workout in the house, in the woods and backyard playground. Afterwards I would be tired enough to just replenish my body and apply for jobs.

4. Comedy. Nothing beats a laughter at the end of the day, especially a hard day. You can watch a hilarious movie, stand up comedians or just meet up with friends and have fun cracking jokes like nuts. It helps to relieve stress and covers up the fact that you badly need a good job to kick start into the future.  No matter what you're going through, nothing beats a big smile on the face. Laugh Out Loud without faking it.

Funny movies such as,Think Like A man..., Laugh at My life..., and stand ups got me going every evening. Just be Happy after hard work looking for a job.

5. Job Fairs. This is a golden opportunity for networking especially with the immediate employers of the potential companies.  Never let any free job fair pass you by, however never pay what you don't have for a job fair unless it's extremely worth it. The job fairs boost your confidence and you learn more about different companies. Learn what companies like about their employees so that you can give it right back at them when you apply for a job.  Learn how to sell yourself!

The job fairs are like a recipe before you get into the kitchen, so life gets easier.

6. Recreational activities. Sports are most fun while young, so don't let your youth get to waste. TV remotes and movies are helpful while tired especially in the evening, but not during the day when the sun is yearning for you get some tan. Text, tweet, facebook, instagram, or Tumblr your friends about playing ball or biking or kayaking or golfing or soccer or flag football, before the darkness sends the daytime away.

Live life and make the most of your youth as you prepare your body mentally and physically for that job.

7. Work. Get a part time/full time job either  in or outside your area of interest. This would help to keep your savings account healthy and make sure you have some money to spend on getting the job of your dreams. It costs money to get a job so be prepared.  You're not making much so spend wisely!!

8. PRAY. Nothing is guaranteed in this life so as you work hard, patiently waiting and highly hoping for a job, make sure you pray. Prayer is the key piece of the puzzle in finding the job of your dreams.

I have applied all the above and for sure I have been learning a lot about life not just jobs and different employers.  Suggest something else I can do and maybe you might help someone else who reads this blog. Asante!
